A. Vetra is a project that explores craft and narratives rooted in a warm and familiar Mediterranean atmosphere, finding its strongest basis in slow processes, fascination for the handmade and connection with territories.
As textile and home accessories editor, A. Vetra creates numbered-edition collections through collaborations with artisanal identities.
Everything originates from a deep interest in the re-discovery of crafts, learning the gestures behind ancient techniques and production methods, connecting with the materials and following the values that flourish behind a more conscious and compassionate way of creating.
A. Vetra is a project founded at the end of 2019 by Giulia Ferraris (1991), an Italian product and textile designer based in Northern Italy, Vicenza.
Curious by nature and obsessed with texture and materials, Giulia intertwines her fascination for popular culture and lands, letting nature speak to her through its nuances and surfaces.
Deeply inspired by her Mediterranean roots, in her interdisciplinary exploration traces of the past and modern visions engage, seeking a balance between the craft know-how and contemporary aesthetic approaches. Giulia believes in objects with an imperfect nature, finding beauty in their story and their permanent presence.
Through the handmade, and particularly through textiles, she bonds with the heritage of the territory, seeking a tactile language to convey its artisanal value.
